  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients as they process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating effective decision-making skills and clinical judgment.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them, empowering them in their recovery journey.

  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives that focus on trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to provide the highest standard of care.

The primary focus of this role involves working with a diverse population of individuals who are coping with the effects of trauma. You will engage with patients experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, providing therapy that acknowledges their unique experiences. Your expertise will empower them to navigate their challenges and work towards healing and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing high-quality care.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer technologies.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, including specialized interventions like EMDR and TF-CBT.
  • Prior work in outpatient settings with a focus on trauma recovery is advantageous.
