Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to explore patients' trauma histories and inform tailored treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with goals focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and symptom management.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address clients’ needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that assist patients in processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care tailored to each patient.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel safe and heard.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources, enhancing their understanding of the healing process.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards to uphold the integrity of care provided.
• Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care advancements.
• Stay informed about the latest research and evidence-based practices related to trauma therapy to continuously improve treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this therapist position is on adult and adolescent clients who have experienced significant trauma. Our patient population often includes individuals grappling with PTSD, complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and associated mental health challenges. Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that convey compassion and understanding to clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong comfort level with technology.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
• A history of working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage intense and stressful situations while maintaining professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits
