  • Create and maintain individualized treatment plans focused on fostering trauma recovery, promoting resilience, and enhancing coping mechanisms.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patientโ€™s situation.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients in processing their trauma and equipping them with effective coping strategies.
  • Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals for integrated care, sharing insights and strategies to optimize patient healing.
  • Provide crisis intervention, support clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, and implement protocols to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available resources, fostering an informed support network.
  • Document all clinical interactions appropriately, adhering to ethical and legal standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations and contribute to professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed about advancements in trauma therapy, adapting practices based on the latest evidence-based research to enhance patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to abuse, violence, and significant emotional distress. Your therapeutic efforts will be guided by the individual histories and needs of these clients, with the aim of helping them achieve greater emotional stability and personal growth.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, allowing for the establishment of therapeutic relationships based on trust and empathy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation and ensure continuity of care.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with strong tracks in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be given preference. An understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities is paramount, underscoring the need for a candidate who is both knowledgeable and compassionate.
