The role of Mental Health Counselor at Matriarch Trauma-informed Care offers a flexible work environment, allowing you to work remotely while also collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in our outpatient office as needed. The schedule is adaptable, predominantly aligning with standard business hours, but may occasionally include evening shifts to accommodate client needs. • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health conditions to construct personalized treatment plans that align with each individual’s unique needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups; tailor therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches to address a variety of mental health challenges.
• Work collaboratively within an integrated care model, partnering with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic and comprehensive care solutions.
• Effectively manage crisis situations by providing immediate intervention and support to clients facing acute emotional distress, ensuring their safety and stabilizing their condition.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to foster awareness and understanding of mental health issues, removing stigma and promoting resource accessibility.

• A current and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients while exhibiting exceptional interpersonal skills necessary to establish therapeutic relationships.
• Proficiency in cultural sensitivity and awareness; the capacity to work inclusively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with a commitment to maintaining accurate client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Experience working within an outpatient clinical setting, or familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.
• Skill in utilizing various evidence-based practices, specifically in the treatment of trauma and stress-related disorders.
• Previous experience in community outreach or public health programming related to mental health issues.
