Drive Safer Outcomes Through Insight and Expertise

As a Specialist, HSSEQ Investigations, you will play a critical role in strengthening our safety culture by leading complex investigations into health, safety, environmental, and quality events. Your work will directly influence organizational learning, risk reduction, and continuous improvement across WSP Canada.


Your Impact

Lead thorough investigations into workplace incidents, environmental events, and non-compliances

Analyse data, evidence, and timelines to uncover root causes and contributing factors

Conduct interviews with stakeholders to gather critical insights and perspectives

Apply root cause analysis methodologies to identify systemic risks and gaps

Develop actionable corrective and preventative measures that enhance operational safety

Produce clear, detailed reports and present findings to leadership and stakeholders

Collaborate across teams to implement improvements and strengthen HSSEQ programs

Track corrective actions to ensure timely completion and long-term effectiveness


The Skills That Set You Apart

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field

6-8 years of experience in investigations, root cause analysis, or similar environments

Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices

Demonstrated expertise in investigation techniques and analytical problem-solving

Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to diverse audiences

High level of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail

Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and leadership

Bilingualism in French and English (required)

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
