Job description

Position Overview

Life Changing Counseling Solutions, a leader in mental health care, is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in an exclusively remote capacity. This full-time position is a unique opportunity to provide impactful mental health services to low-acuity clients across California, ensuring that therapy is accessible to those who need it most.

About the Organization

At Life Changing Counseling Solutions, we are committed to enhancing the mental well-being of communities through compassionate care and innovative approaches. Our organization prioritizes accessibility and inclusivity, helping clients overcome barriers to mental health services. As a part of our mission-driven team, you will contribute to a revolution in mental health care, making a tangible difference in the lives of many individuals.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to create a work-life balance tailored to your needs while maintaining productivity in a supportive atmosphere. Our collaborative work culture fosters open communication, and we utilize digital platforms for team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development. The remote structure also empowers you to structure your workspace in a way that best supports your well-being and work habits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify individual mental health needs and establish baseline data for treatment.
  • Create dynamic, personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Facilitate engaging therapy sessions, guiding clients in addressing their goals, challenges, and progress in a supportive environment.
  • Effectively manage crisis situations by employing de-escalation techniques and actionable intervention strategies to ensure client safety and emotional stability.
  • Actively participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions, keeping abreast of the latest mental health practices and regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on low-acuity clients who have been carefully pre-screened to ensure a good fit for remote counseling. Many of these individuals may be seeking support with anxiety, mild depression, and stress management. By working within this demographic, youโ€™ll help clients build resilience and develop effective coping strategies, leading them to improved mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of California.
  • A strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and a passion for creating a welcoming and inclusive client experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to record-keeping and client management.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling is required, candidates with experience working remotely or with diverse populations are highly regarded. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems is a plus, as these tools will complement your role in delivering quality distance therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance with options for vision and dental coverage, generous paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions.

Career Growth Opportunities

Life Changing Counseling Solutions values the professional development of our staff. We actively support ongoing education, training, and licensing renewal to foster your career growth. As part of our team, you will have the chance to advance into leadership roles, take on specialized initiatives, or even contribute to the development of new programs tailored to client needs.

Why Join Our Team

  • Enjoy a positive, team-oriented workplace culture that fosters collaboration and support.
  • Gain access to a wide array of resources for professional development, enhancing your skills as a mental health practitioner.
  • Benefit from a flexible work schedule that accommodates your lifestyle while ensuring that you meet your professional responsibilities.
