We are seeking a Business Development Manager with a proven track record of driving growth in the financial sector, with a focus on banking and payments-related services and products. Blockchain knowledge is highly valued as a potential link to other opportunities.

This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and qualifying new logo opportunities across the financial services sector. As opportunities mature and move into deal execution, this role maintains engagement to ensure continuity of trust and momentum throughout the client relationship.


Responsibilities:

  • Build pipeline from scratch through outbound prospecting, industry events, partner channels, and executive networking
  • Own your pipeline end-to-end: maintain rigorous hygiene, accurate stage progression, and reliable forecasting
  • Develop and execute account entry strategies for named target accounts, building multi-threaded relationships before a need is formally declared
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through commercial negotiation and contract close
  • Orchestrate internal pursuit teams: pulling in solution architects, consultants, delivery leads to co-create winning solutions
  • Take the lead on proposals and RFP responses, shaping the narrative, commercial structure, and differentiation
  • Land initial engagements and rapidly expand footprint by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across IntellectEU's service ecosystem
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level, and key business leaders
  • Conduct executive-level QBRs and Strategic Business Reviews that demonstrate ROI and surface the next opportunity
  • Act as a market-facing ambassador, feeding competitive intelligence and client insights back to product and GTM leadership


Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (fluent) and Spanish , with a knack for navigating difficult conversations and maintaining long-term rapport.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Director, or in a high-level strategic account management role within the tech/fintech space.
  • Deep domain expertise in the financial industry (SWIFT, blockchain, digital assets, and insurance) to maintain credibility with sophisticated institutional clients.
  • Experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder professional services or technology solutions with 6-12 month sales cycles
  • Demonstrated success in outbound sales and business development, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and driving opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Strategic storytelling ability: Must be able to translate complex technical delivery metrics into high-level business outcomes for executive stakeholders.
  • Empathy-led leadership: Comfortable leading internal delivery teams and external client stakeholders through the friction of long-term digital transformation.
  • Sharp communicator and negotiator, able to influence senior stakeholders, navigate difficult conversations, and maintain trust over long sales cycles
  • Financial acumen: Skilled at managing account P&L, contract renewals, and complex commercial frameworks.
