Get ready to take your career to the next level. The Principal Financial Group is seeking a Regional Wholesaler, Distribution - Retirement Solutions to join our team. This is a hybrid wholesaling opportunity.
As you partner with local intermediaries throughout NorCal, you will use your skills to position our products as the ultimate solution for the client. Here are some of the examples of the things you'll do:
  • Drive retirement plan sales throughout the market by calling on advisors to promote the sale of defined contribution and defined benefit products targeted for retirement plans in the 0 - 2M AUM.
  • Build and establish relationships with financial advisors that are un-assigned throughout Northern California.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience
  • Must have an advanced level of plan design and business unit product knowledge as well as extensive knowledge of competitors
  • Must have 2+ years of retirement sales experience with deep knowledge on retirement products
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills, leadership skills, analytical skills, presentation skills, negotiation skills, relationship building, time management skills and knowledge of business unit and company products
  • Must have the ability to travel as required periodically
Licenses Required within 5 months of employment:
    • Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63).
    • Resident Life and Health appointment must be attained.

Salary Range Information
This position offers a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary combined with incentive earnings. The base salary will provide financial stability, while the incentive component offers additional earning potential based on performance metrics.
Salary Range
$75000 - $75000 / year
Salary Details
*Heavy incentive component in addition to salary listed.
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
