Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Lead Logistics Analyst to join our Supply Chain team.

This position may be performed remotely or on-site at a Saab, Inc. office location.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the Supply Chain Management team, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain.

  • Develop logistics strategies for all U.S. locations in support of DoD, FAA, and commercial programs.

  • Establish, maintain, and optimize global material movements in collaboration with Material Handling, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Material Handling leadership to develop effective freight and freight forwarding service provider programs.

  • Evaluate current logistics structures and work with Supply Chain and Material Handling teams to improve deliveries, receipts, and outbound freight while reducing risk and total costs.

  • Monitor the movement of assigned materials throughout the supply chain from origin to final delivery, aligning with operational requirements established by Supply Chain Planning and Supplier Program Managers (SPM).

  • Facilitate and maintain communication with SPM team members, 3PLs, brokers, government agencies, and suppliers to ensure successful material movements.

  • Develop logistics SOPs and ensure company-wide compliance with all logistics procedures, including import and export shipping requirements.

  • Travel domestically as required, up to 10% annually.

Compensation Ranges:

Syracuse, NY, West Lafayette, IN, Orlando, FL, Grayling, MI, or Auburn Hills, MI: $101,600 - $132,000

Bristol, RI, or Cranston, RI: $111,700 - $145,200

Ashburn, VA, Washington, D.C., or Quincy, MA: $121,900 - $158,500

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics) with 8+ years of experience in import and export compliance requirements and customs regulations, international and domestic logistics, and freight program development; or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Oracle.

  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to analyze and interpret data.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, multitask, and support concurrent requirements for multiple internal and external customers.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the aerospace/defense industry.
