Job description

RTS is an enthusiast culture company that builds at the intersection of gaming, creators, and brands. From global live events to bespoke branded content, we exist to create meaningful connections between fans and the worlds they love. Our team brings deep expertise across partnership sales and marketing, talent management, event production, media, community building, and IP development.
About Evo:
For over 20 years, The Evolution Championship Series (Evo), has produced the largest and
longest-running fighting game tournament conventions in the world. Our events are rallying
points where fans, publishers, developers, and brands celebrate fighting games and the

Role Overview
We're hiring a Product Manager to help define and build new products at Evo, with an initial focus on Evo Legends.
This is a product role first. You'll set direction, prioritize work, and drive execution across a mix of live, content, and fan-facing experiences.
Your primary focus will be Evo Special Events, including traveling live events built around exhibition matches, player storytelling, and fan experiences (E.g. Evo Legends and Evo Showcases). You'll be responsible for shaping how this product is defined, how it shows up in different markets, and how it evolves over time. At the same time, you'll be expected to think more broadly about how Evo builds and scales products that serve players, organizers, and fans. This will include consumer experiences across both internally and externally produced events and programming.
This role requires strong judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to move between strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities

  • Define product goals, priorities, and success metrics
  • Build and maintain a roadmap across multiple initiatives
  • Make tradeoffs across features, formats, and investments
  • Use data, feedback, and judgment to guide decisions

Execution and Delivery
  • Break down product work into clear plans and deliverables
  • Manage timelines across multiple workstreams
  • Identify risks early and adjust as needed
  • Ensure a high standard of quality across outputs
Budget Ownership and Performance Tracking
  • Own and manage budgets across your product areas
  • Allocate resources across events, content, and production based on priorities
  • Track spend and performance against plan
  • Evaluate outcomes and adjust investment over time
Product Development (Primary Focus: Special Events)
  • Lead development of Evo Legends and Evo Showcase as repeatable products across markets
  • Define event structures, formats, and core components of the experiences
  • Shape how exhibition matches, local competitions, fan elements, and new content promotions come together
  • Ensure the products are clear, compelling, and consistent across regions
Content and Experience Design
  • Define how storytelling, matchups, and player narratives are developed
  • Work with teams to build content that supports each event, including promotional and broadcast content
  • Ensure the experience works both on-site and for broadcast audiences
Systems and Process Design
  • Build repeatable processes for planning and executing events across regions
  • Create documentation and workflows that support scale
  • Improve how teams collaborate and deliver over time
User Insight and Feedback
  • Stay close to players, talent, and fans
  • Gather feedback and translate it into product improvements
  • Identify patterns across markets and adjust the approach accordingly
Launch and Iteration
  • Support launch and rollout of Legends events across regions
  • Measure performance across attendance, engagement, and viewership
  • Iterate on format, content, and experience based on results

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, or a related role with clear product ownership
  • Experience building and shipping products, programs, or live experiences
  • Experience owning budgets and making investment decisions
  • Strong ability to prioritize and make decisions with limited information
  • Clear communicator who can align cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Interest in gaming, live events, or content-driven products

Bonus Points
