Overview
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting and Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with Unanet expertise to support core accounting operations for a government contracting organization. This handson role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting monthend close, and ensuring compliance in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daytoday accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, billing, reporting)
  • Own or support monthend close, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Utilize Unanet for project accounting, billing, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance and support internal and external audits
  • Partner with project and program teams on cost tracking and financial insights
  • Identify and implement process improvements and internal control enhancements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; GovCon background preferred
  • Unanet experience required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting close, reconciliations, and reporting
