Position Overview

We are seeking a Genetic Counselor to provide comprehensive genetic counseling services through a 100% remote telemedicine model. The role includes risk assessment, patient education, genetic testing coordination, and communication of genetic test results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct genetic counseling consultations via telemedicine.
  • Review medical and family histories and assess genetic risk.
  • Educate patients about inheritance, recurrence risks, genetic conditions, and screening options.
  • Recommend and coordinate appropriate genetic testing.
  • Communicate genetic test results to patients and providers.
  • Provide counseling, follow-up recommendations, and appropriate resources.
  • Document clinical activities in the EHR.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Genetic Counseling.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABGC, as applicable.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted state licensure where required.
  • Current BLS certification or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and counseling skills.
  • Comfortable providing services through telemedicine.
