The Level 2 Help Desk Technician is responsible for handling escalated IT service requests for Centaris' clients via phone or email. Requests may be related to all aspects of technology, including workstations, servers, cloud services, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.


The successful candidate will possess exceptional technical and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and motivated, have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a dynamic team.  This job can be performed remotely from your home, but candidates must reside in the state of Michigan.

Responsibilities:


Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and /or software issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and related technologies; provide basic network level support for ISP/LAN connectivity, routers, and switches; and client-side remote access solution implementation and support for VPN and terminal services.

Work closely with service delivery coordinator determining availability to work on requests.

Create, triage, and document all work as service tickets.

Provide prompt resolution to tickets and excellent customer service to clients

Participate in on-call rotation.

Education and Experience:


IT related degree and/or professional IT certifications and/or equivalent experience.     

Natural curiosity/interest in technology.

Ability to install, configure, upgrade, manage, and trouble shoot various client-server applications

Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network system

Basic firewall knowledge

Intermediate knowledge of the following and ability to identify and resolve issues related to: 

Active Directory, File and Print Services, DNS, DHSP, IIS, and Remote Desktop Services

Server virtualizations and shared storage technologies

LAN/WAN Networking, Printing, and Wi-Fi

Remote Access Solution and Support: VPN and Terminal Services.
