Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health statuses and needs, ensuring personalized and effective care.
• Develop and implement bespoke treatment plans tailored to individual client goals along with pertinent therapeutic methodologies.
• Provide individual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused approaches.
• Utilize teletherapy tools to deliver virtual therapy sessions, maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Offer crisis intervention services as necessary, using your expertise to guide clients through times of acute distress.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will primarily involve working with adult clients facing diverse mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Positive Pathways Counseling Center is committed to fostering a supportive and understanding environment, enabling our therapists to apply their unique skills in addressing complex client needs.

Qualifications

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and maintain productive therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, facilitating effective case management and client follow-up.

Preferred Experience

While candidates with a variety of experiences are encouraged to apply, those with prior teletherapy experience and familiarity with evidence-based practices will be especially competitive.
