It’s also important to stay updated on best practices for remote care and to foster ongoing professional connections with colleagues for support and case consultation. Many employers offer resources, supervision, and peer networking opportunities to help clinicians thrive in the remote setting.

To thrive in Remote Teletherapy, you need a professional mental health license (such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or psychologist), strong clinical assessment abilities, and prior therapeutic experience. Familiarity with secure telehealth platforms, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and adherence to HIPAA compliance are typically required. These skills are essential to ensure effective support for clients, maintain confidentiality, and deliver high-quality care remotely.

What is remote teletherapy?
