Job description

ยท Provide advanced ECG while concentrating on monitoring patient status through assessment of ECG strips and arrhythmia interpretation.

ยท Possess troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring the problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the problem.

ยท Identify and responds to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, notifications to appropriate medical personnel.

ยท Able to identify cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias and interval measurements.

Able to complete 250 patient files within one hour.

Essential Functions

ยท Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization

ยท Able to work hybrid in an environment that is HIPAA compliant.

ยท Communicate appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, coworkers, and physicians

ยท Interact professionally with patient/family and provide explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary

ยท Maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments

ยท Ensure that documentation meets current standards and policies

ยท Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly Non-Essential Functions

Qualifications

ยท High school diploma or equivalent

ยท Holter experience a plus

ยท At least 2 years of experience viewing ECG at a full-time position

ยท ECG Technician certificate from a technical school (REQUIRED)

ยท EMT or LVN license / certification is a plus

ยท Current CCT certification

ยท Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart in relation to waves, complexes, time, and voltage as shown through the conduction system and strip interpretation

ยท Familiar with Microsoft Office

ยท Computer literate

ยท Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

ยท Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work

ยท Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner

ยท Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

ยท Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner
