Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately diagnose emotional and behavioral disorders that clients may be facing.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that cater specifically to each client's unique needs and therapeutic goals, employing evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate individual, couple, and group counseling sessions via telehealth, utilizing creative therapeutic techniques to engage and support clients.
• Teach clients effective coping mechanisms and self-care strategies, empowering them to manage their own mental health proactively.
• Continually monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and address any emerging challenges.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and specialists to integrate comprehensive care for clients, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of clients' therapy sessions and progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients, each with unique backgrounds and mental health needs. Whether they are navigating life transitions, managing chronic mental health conditions, or seeking support for relationship issues, your expertise will provide them with the guidance and care they require. You will also engage with clients from various demographics within Hartford and beyond, ensuring culturally sensitive approaches that resonate with their specific experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling or a related field is required.
• Current state licensure as a Professional Counselor is essential.
• Proven experience in providing individual, couple, and group therapy to a variety of clients.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and rapport with clients, making them feel safe and understood.
• A non-judgmental and empathetic approach to counseling, focusing on client strengths and resilience.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
• A flexible schedule to accommodate clients with differing needs and availabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working specifically within a telehealth environment is highly preferred, as well as familiarity with relevant technology and software platforms utilized in virtual counseling.
• Background in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or other evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Previous experience with administrative tasks such as billing and documentation can be beneficial to streamline your workflow.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload management capabilities. In addition to the generous pay structure, you will benefit from:
