Job description

We are seeking a Telecom Implementation Engineer for a 6+ month Remote contract.

***Must be US Citizen or Green Card – no 3rd party candidates

Pay Rate: $40 – 45/hr W2

 

Location: Remote

 

The Main Responsibilities

·         Proficient with OTDR testing and results analysis, EXFO FastReporter 3 post-analysis software, MS Excel, fiber network construction, and comprehending contract specifications.

·         Testing and analysis in Field Fiber Quality.

·         Collaborate with internal teams on projects, fiber performance, contract specifications, and network recommendations.

·         Analyze OTDR & Power meter test results, troubleshoot issues found, and recommend fix actions.

·         Ensure FQA team service level agreements & metrics are meeting 90% On-Time-Performance.

What We Look for in a Candidate

Required

· 8+ years related experience in telecommunications, engineering, or network planning or equivalent.

· Knowledgeable and able to work in appropriate systems and Microsoft Office.

· Experience in a ticketing environment.

· Perform fiber quality testing.

· Work with Planning, Operations, and all internal and external customers.

· Maintain positive interaction between all governing authorities.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Notable experience using OTDR and power meter test equipment with the ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot out-of-spec (OOS) issues, and make recommendations to the field for repairs.

Preferred

· Assoc degree or equivalent education and/or relevant experience.

· Fluent on current approved products and technology.
