Project Coordinator - Metro Ethernet Services100% Remote
Pay: $33-35/hourPosition Overview

We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support the successful intake, coordination, and execution of Metro Ethernet (MetroE) service requests within a fast-paced telecommunications environment. This is a fully remote position supporting teams throughout the Northeast region, with flexibility to work either a 7:00 AM EST or 9:00 AM EST start time.

This role serves as a critical link between pre-sales teams, technical specialists, field resources, and business partners. The Project Coordinator will manage service requests from initial intake through survey coordination, tracking, reporting, and handoff activities while ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and internal processes.

The ideal candidate will possess telecommunications experience, strong organizational skills, and an understanding of fiber-based network services. Individuals with experience supporting Metro Ethernet services, fiber infrastructure, project coordination, or telecommunications provisioning environments are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and manage Metro Ethernet service requests from pre-sales teams.
  • Review incoming requests from internal databases and queue management systems.
  • Enter and maintain project information within Smartsheet and other operational platforms.
  • Create and manage tickets within project and workflow management systems.
  • Coordinate field surveys and assign survey activities to business partners or field specialists.
  • Establish survey timelines and communicate required completion dates.
  • Track survey progress and ensure deliverables are completed within established SLAs.
  • Update project information across multiple systems and platforms throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate survey results and project updates back to sales and operational teams.
  • Run reports and monitor project milestones to ensure timely completion.
  • Work closely with engineering, sales, specialists, and field resources to support service delivery.
  • Ensure project records, status updates, and documentation remain accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and operational reporting activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, telecommunications operations, service delivery, provisioning, or a related role.
  • Experience working within a telecommunications or networking environment.
  • Understanding of fiber optic infrastructure and fiber-based network services.
  • Strong data entry, tracking, and reporting skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, requests, or workstreams simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
