Senior Product Manager - Hybrid IT Automation

Job description

Location: Remote (United States)

Reports to: Chief Product Officer

Travel: Quarterly travel to Alpharetta, GA. Up to 25% additional travel as needed

About Stonebranch:

Stonebranch builds IT orchestration and automation solutions that transform business IT environments from simple IT task automation into sophisticated, real-time business service orchestration. No matter the degree of automation, the Stonebranch platform is simple, modern, and secure. Using Stonebranch Universal Automation Center (UAC), enterprises can seamlessly orchestrate workloads and data across hybrid IT environments. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with points of contact and support throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia, Stonebranch serves some of the world’s largest financial, manufacturing, healthcare, travel, transportation, energy, and technology institutions.

Your Part in this Growth Story:

Stonebranch is searching for a hands-on Senior Product Manager to own the product strategy behind our Universal Automation Center platform — someone who translates market opportunity into a roadmap our customers want to buy, and who owns outcomes across the full product lifecycle rather than waiting for direction from the top. Hybrid IT automation is one of the fastest-moving markets in enterprise IT right now, and the roadmap you shape will define how Stonebranch capitalizes on it.

This is a role built for a market at an inflection point. AI is changing both what customers expect from IT automation and how we build the products that deliver it — you'll work alongside an engineering organization that uses AI coding assistants to define, specify, and build new capabilities, and you're expected to spot where AI itself becomes a source of new product value, not just a way to ship existing plans faster.

You'll bring to market best-in-class solutions across Real-Time Hybrid IT Automation, Workload Automation, and Cloud and Data Pipeline Automation, partnering across sales, pre-sales, marketing, services, and support to turn product direction into revenue and renewals. Strong technical grounding in enterprise IT automation is essential — but what sets you apart is range: equally at home shaping a roadmap with engineering, making the business case to executives, and getting into the details of a customer escalation when it counts.

This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States, with a preference for candidates located near a Stonebranch office. Quarterly travel to our Alpharetta, GA headquarters is required, along with up to 25% additional travel to support customers and events across the regions we serve. This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Your Impact on the Organization:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the product roadmap for Universal Automation Center (UAC), translating market opportunity and customer feedback into prioritized initiatives across Workload Automation, Cloud and Data Pipeline Automation, and real-time orchestration
  • Contribute to the strategic product plan — product positioning, competitive strengths and weaknesses, and where the portfolio needs to evolve next
  • Analyze competitive dynamics and win/loss trends to sharpen product direction and inform go-to-market messaging

AI-Driven Product Innovation

  • Identify where AI can create new UAC capabilities, not just accelerate delivery of existing plans
  • Partner with an engineering organization that uses AI coding assistants to define, specify, and build new solutions, translating product vision into requirements those teams can execute against
  • Evaluate emerging AI/ML and automation technologies for their potential to extend the UAC product portfolio

Product Launch & Market Execution

  • Lead the launch of new UAC capabilities and the rollout of new versions to market, across both SaaS and private cloud deployments
  • Define and prioritize product requirements within Agile development cycles, gathering input from customers, key stakeholders, and SMEs
  • Represent UAC product strategy directly to customers — in small group settings, at conferences, and through Stonebranch webinars

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication

  • Partner across sales, pre-sales, marketing, services, and support to align product direction with go-to-market execution
  • Communicate the business value of the UAC portfolio to audiences ranging from executives to hands-on users
  • Work through complex customer situations and escalations, bringing product expertise to bear on high-stakes issues

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 10-15 years of professional experience in product management or a closely related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience specifically with Workload Automation (WLA) or adjacent enterprise IT automation domains, either in a Product Management capacity or an adjacent function such as Sales or Services
  • Track record of taking products through some or all of their lifecycle — from requirements definition and roadmapping through launch and market adoption

Technical & Domain Skills

  • Direct experience with Workload Automation, Job Scheduling, or Service Orchestration & Automation Platforms (SOAP); familiarity with Managed File Transfer (MFT) is a plus given the breadth of the Stonebranch platform
  • Experience with SaaS and private/hybrid cloud delivery models, including subscription-based licensing
  • Familiarity with applying AI/GenAI capabilities within a product offering, and experience working alongside engineering teams that use AI-assisted development tools to define and build new capabilities
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and core PM tradecraft — requirements definition, user stories, acceptance criteria, and PRDs
  • Comfort using product analytics and usage/telemetry data to inform roadmap and licensing decisions
  • Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks such as GDPR is a plus, given close collaboration with EU-based teams, partners, and clients

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Strong customer- and partner-facing presence, with the ability to build trusted-advisor relationships
  • Comfortable representing product strategy externally during customer meetings, conferences, webinars, etc.
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator across sales, pre-sales, marketing, services, and support
  • Clear communicator able to translate technical direction and business value across audiences, from executives to hands-on users
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) required
