You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Information Technology & Cyber Security Office(Code 109) of PSNS and IMF.

  • You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by managers.
  • You will perform analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.
  • You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
  • You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
  • You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organizations programs and activities.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications
GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing automated financial management systems to formulate budget estimates and report obligations and expenditures; analyzing transactional data for identification of trends; and developing recommendations for improved financial controls or budgetary processes.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with budget execution in accordance with policies and practices to support plans, programs, or activities; reviewing or evaluating budget requests, or control for reporting obligations and expenditures to management; and assisting higher-graded analysts in performing studies to evaluate changes in program plans, funding or budgetary relationships.
