NETS USA | Business Development Manager – FTTH USA


Position Summary

The Business Development Manager – FTTH USA identifies, develops, and closes FTTH, broadband, ISP, utility, municipal, and prime-contractor opportunities for NETS USA. The role builds the customer pipeline, qualifies target accounts, develops teaming relationships, supports bid strategy, and positions the company for profitable contracts.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Research target customers, funding programs, municipal broadband initiatives, ISP expansion plans, prime-contractor opportunities, and bid pipelines.
  • Develop relationships with ISPs, engineering firms, general contractors, utilities, municipalities, procurement teams, and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate capability presentations, pricing discussions, site visits, teaming agreements, NDAs, and pre-bid intelligence.
  • Work with Delivery, Construction Management, and Sales/Presales to verify opportunities are technically feasible and commercially sound.
  • Maintain CRM records, pipeline forecasts, customer contact maps, account plans, win/loss analysis, and executive reporting.
  • Support proposal strategy, differentiators, pricing posture, and contract negotiation while protecting margin and delivery feasibility.


Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • U.S. telecom, broadband, infrastructure, utility, construction, or technology business development experience required.
  • Understanding of FTTH networks, construction delivery models, subcontracting, public procurement, and RFP processes preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, account planning, and commercial qualification skills.
  • Ability to travel within the United States and coordinate with remote proposal resources.



Safety, Quality, and Compliance Expectations

The employee must follow company safety policies, customer standards, OSHA requirements, applicable state and municipal rules, traffic-control instructions, and stop-work requirements. Field personnel must protect existing utilities, public property, private property, pedestrians, and the crew at all times. Quality expectations include accurate installation, clean restoration, timely photo documentation, and professional conduct with customers, inspectors, and the public.
