A Remote Telecom Billing System is a software platform that enables telecommunications companies to manage and process billing operations from a remote location. It automates the collection, rating, and invoicing of usage data such as calls, texts, and data services for customers. These systems are designed to handle complex billing scenarios, support multiple payment methods, and provide detailed reporting. Using a remote system allows staff to access billing functions securely from anywhere, improving efficiency and flexibility.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote telecom billing system specialist?

To excel as a Remote Telecom Billing System Specialist, you need expertise in telecom billing processes, data analysis, and a solid understanding of telecommunications industry standards, often supported by a degree in IT, finance, or a related field. Familiarity with billing software like Oracle BRM, Amdocs, or SAP, as well as proficiency in SQL and data management tools, is typically required. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you resolve discrepancies and coordinate with cross-functional teams. These skills are essential for ensuring accurate billing, customer satisfaction, and compliance with regulatory requirements in a remote environment.

Job description

Remote Dental Billing Specialist

Company Overview

Dental Claim Support (DCS) is a specialized dental revenue cycle management company serving dentists, private practices, and DSOs across the United States. We empower dental teams by combining highly trained RCM experts with a proven technology framework to maximize profitability and support practice growth.

Our systems and processes allow our team to work the full dental revenue cycle efficiently and accurately, helping clients increase collections, reduce aging, and gain confidence in their insurance billing.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically strong Remote Dental Billing Specialist to join our Private Practice Insurance Billing business unit. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our clients’ success by managing the insurance billing lifecycle—from clean claim submission through accurate payment posting and follow-up.

You will work from home as an independent contractor (1099, commission-based) with the potential to transition into a W-2 position. This is a strong career move for someone who wants to deepen their expertise in dental RCM, own measurable outcomes (accuracy, collections, retention), and play a key role in a rapidly growing company.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the full dental revenue cycle for assigned practices, including accurate insurance payment posting, adjustments, and coordination of benefits in line with industry standards and policies.
  • Prepare and submit clean claims daily, resolve rejections and denials promptly, and work aging reports to reduce outstanding insurance balances and increase collections.
  • Use dental practice management software (server or cloud-based), payer portals, and clearinghouses to post EFTs, submit claims, and maximize claim payments while maintaining data integrity.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of CDT coding, insurance verification breakdowns, radiographs, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure compliant, accurate billing and documentation.
  • Partner closely with Account Managers, clients, and vendors to solve revenue cycle issues, improve processes, and provide responsive, professional client service in a remote environment.
What Success Looks Like
  • Maintain a client retention rate of 90% or higher and consistently positive feedback (NPS of 8+ for your book of business) by delivering reliable, proactive billing support.
  • Contribute to revenue targets that reflect an ROI of 67% for your assigned clients through effective claim submission, follow-up, and payment posting.
  • Achieve and sustain at least 98% accuracy in payment posting and adjustments, demonstrated through internal quality checks and audits.
  • Maintain an overall audit score of 90% or higher while meeting deadlines, keeping aging under control, and communicating clearly with clients and internal teams.
What We're Looking For
  • At least 2 years of hands-on dental insurance billing experience, with strong knowledge of dental terminology and effective revenue cycle management techniques.
  • Comfort working in dental practice management software and standard office tools (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; Google Drive a plus), with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Organized, detail-focused professional who communicates clearly, manages multiple priorities, and maintains high accuracy under deadlines.
  • Team-oriented, growth-minded individual who takes ownership, solves problems proactively, and is committed to professional excellence and client success.
Compensation and Benefits
  • 1099 – Independent Contractor, based on commission, with the opportunity to transition to W-2 status.
  • Remote / work-from-home with a flexible work schedule and a culture of learning.
  • Once eligible for W-2 status: health, vision, and dental coverage; company-matched 401(k); company-provided equipment; and paid time off.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in a rapidly growing company that values customer success, transparency, reliability, professional excellence, and alignment.
How to Apply

If you have solid dental insurance billing experience and want to grow your career in a remote, high-accountability environment, please submit your resume and a brief note describing your dental billing background and practice management systems you have used.
