We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join the Teens Advocate Program & Mental Counseling team. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to create individualized therapy plans for clients.
  • Providing therapeutic services using various evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailored to the unique needs of each client.

  • Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software effectively.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Actively participating in workshops and ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on serving adolescents and their families, many of whom may be experiencing significant barriers to accessing care. By providing compassionate and culturally competent counseling, you will help clients navigate their emotional and psychological challenges, promoting healthier pathways to personal growth and resilience.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, ideally in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines related to mental health practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage with a diverse client base.
Preferred Experience

Experience or specialization in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Family therapy and couples counseling.
