Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies tailored to each client's needs.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to assist groups, families, couples, and individuals in overcoming various mental health challenges.
  • Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for every client.
  • Maintain precise and timely clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, complying with applicable regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to stay updated on the latest mental health research and practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on serving adolescents and their families facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. You will work with clients who often have limited access to quality mental health care, making your role pivotal in their healing journey.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in Virginia.
  • At least two years of counseling experience, with a strong preference for clinical exposure in diverse settings.
  • A deep understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering strong rapport with a varied clientele.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal client outcomes.
