About the Role

The Senior Technical Alliances Lead, Security & AI shapes the global technical strategy and execution for Veeam's strategic security and AI ecosystem alliances. The role ensures strong solution alignment, integrations, interoperability, and validated joint designs that support enterprise customer needs.

This role helps position Veeam within partner platforms through reference architectures, integration guidance, and field-ready technical assets focused on cyber resilience, data security, AI infrastructure, and Data & AI Trust.

As a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Technology Alliances, this role works cross-functionally with product, engineering, alliances, sales, marketing, and field teams to translate partner strategy into practical architectures, integrations, and enablement motions. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, partner-facing credibility, and the judgment to align technical execution with enterprise customer needs.

What You'll Do
  • Technical lead for Security & AI alliances: translate alliance strategy into technical plans, priorities, and execution with alliance leadership.
  • Drive joint solutions: define/validate integrations (APIs, interoperability) and produce reference architectures, validated designs, and solution blueprints.
  • Align roadmaps: identify technical gaps/dependencies and incorporate partner/customer feedback to coordinate with Product and Engineering.
  • Partner technical engagement: represent Veeam with partner technical stakeholders and support strategic customer/partner opportunities requiring tight technical alignment.
  • Create joint technical assets: develop briefs, diagrams, guidance, demos, and validation materials highlighting value and differentiation.
  • Enable teams: train/enable internal and partner field teams on deployment considerations and joint solution positioning.
  • Track outcomes: manage technical milestones (validations, integrations, enablement readiness, and field adoption) tied to alliance priorities.
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure, data protection, security, cloud, and/or solution-focused technical roles.
  • Deep expertise in backup & recovery, cyber resilience, security architecture, and modern enterprise infrastructure.
  • Proven alliances/partner experience translating business priorities into technical architectures and joint solutions.
  • Ability to engage credibly with partner product teams, architects, engineers, and technical executives.
  • Experience producing technical assets such as reference architectures, validated designs, integration blueprints, and technical GTM content.
  • Strong integration skills across APIs, platform integrations, and interoperability in infrastructure/security/cloud ecosystems.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and ability to influence in a matrixed org (product, engineering, alliances, sales, marketing), balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience with enterprise security platforms and related domains (e.g., cyber recovery architectures, DSPM, identity protection, AI infrastructure, and adjacent security technologies).
  • Experience working in alliance ecosystems across security vendors, cloud platforms, infrastructure providers, and AI technology partners (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Fortinet, Red Hat OpenShift, NVIDIA).
  • Familiarity with Veeam and concepts including data resilience, ransomware recovery, and enterprise backup architecture.
  • Experience delivering multi-vendor joint solutions spanning ISVs, service providers, and broader ecosystem partners.
  • Experience operating in global, distributed organizations, effectively supporting stakeholders across regions and time zones.
