Job description

We're a fast-growing digital marketing agency serving small law firms, and we're hiring an SEO Strategist who can connect the dots between technical SEO, content strategy, local visibility, authority building, analytics, and the future of AI search.

This role is for someone who sees rankings as one piece of a much bigger picture: helping clients get found by the right people, show up with credibility, and turn visibility into real business growth.

Think Charlie Kelly from Always Sunny in Philadelphia at the Pepe Silvia board, except the chaos is Google Search Console, competitor data, content gaps, local rankings, and AI search trends, and you're the person who makes it all make sense.

If you've ever looked at a ranking drop and thought, Okay, what's really happening here? this might be your kind of job.

The right person understands technical SEO, on-page optimization, content planning, local SEO, analytics, and emerging AI search opportunities. You should be comfortable auditing websites, finding patterns in performance data, making strategic recommendations, and explaining what matters without turning every conversation into a 47-slide dissertation on crawl depth.

We want someone who can use SEO tools, AI tools, data, and good judgment to help our team build smarter strategies for law firms across the country.

If you love clean site structure, strong content plans, local visibility wins, measurable results, and figuring out why Google is being Google, let's talk!

Job Details
  • Develop and execute SEO strategies for law firm clients nationwide.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits using tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, and Looker Studio.
  • Identify technical issues affecting organic performance, including crawlability, indexation, site structure, page speed, Core Web Vitals, and site health.
  • Work with developers to resolve technical SEO issues and improve website performance.
  • Perform keyword research, competitor research, and search intent analysis.
  • Optimize metadata, headers, internal linking, content structure, and on-page elements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing content and increase organic visibility.
  • Develop SEO-driven content plans, topic clusters, pillar page strategies, and content briefs.
  • Collaborate with writers, developers, project managers, account managers, and leadership to turn strategy into action.
  • Build authority strategies through backlink opportunities, brand mentions, partnerships, citations, and outreach campaigns.
  • Support local SEO efforts, including Google Business Profile optimization, citation management, localized content, and local search performance tracking.
  • Configure and manage SEO reporting dashboards.
  • Analyze rankings, traffic, engagement, conversions, and other performance data.
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations based on what the data is showing.
  • Monitor AI search trends, AI Overviews, answer engines, entity-based SEO, and Generative Engine Optimization opportunities.
  • Help shape Spotlight's approach to SEO and GEO as search continues to evolve.
