Representing over 50 leading manufacturers, we partner with customers to deliver high-quality products and engineered solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a motivated Technical Sales Specialist to develop new business, support existing customers, and drive sales growth throughout the Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky territory. This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling to identify customer needs, recommend solutions, and support industrial manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will build strong customer relationships, provide technical product guidance, collaborate with engineering and supplier partners, and manage opportunities from initial contact through project completion. This position will support the Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, OH & Northern Kentucky Territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new and existing customer relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend industrial automation, process heating, sensing, control, and safety solutions.
  • Conduct customer visits, application reviews, and sales presentations.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and supplier representatives to develop customer solutions.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasting and reporting.
  • Participate in supplier training and continuously expand product knowledge.

Essential job duties and responsibilities

  • 3+ years of industrial, technical, or engineering-related sales experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, automation, controls, process heating, sensors, or related industrial technologies.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and manage customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote territory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Periodic travel to the Toledo office for training required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with process heating, factory automation, sensors, instrumentation, controls, PLCs, or industrial safety systems.
  • Experience working with manufacturers, OEMs, or industrial end users.
