The recruiter in the human resources department provides sourcing, interviews, recruitment, job offers, coordination of new hire paperwork, maintain databases and act as a liaison between hiring managers and candidates. Recruiters interpret compensation, benefits, job descriptions, and position requirements to applicants. Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies, procedures, strategies and planning. Recruiters attend recruitment events on- and off-campus, representing Mercy. Is able to work independently, exhibit a professional appearance, make decisions and support all team members. Assists Department Directors with co-worker issues and policy questions in the absence of the HR Director. Assists co-workers with any and all HR-related questions.
Position Details:
**This position is hybrid and has on-site expectations at office locations in West and South St. Louis County**
Responsible for full-cycle recruitment across IT/technology, Shared Services, and Executive/High-Priority roles.
In this role, you will:
  • Partner with hiring leaders on intake, success profile, competencies, interview stages, and candidate experience expectations
  • Post positions quickly and ensure postings align with brand standards and include strong keywords
  • Source actively (inbound + passive outreach/pipeline building) and screen for alignment (experience/leadership capability, motivation, and fit)
  • Submit qualified candidates via the ATS for leader review-ensuring minimum qualifications are met for legal defensibility
  • For executive searches: support panel alignment and structured feedback, coordinate onsite/travel logistics in partnership with scheduling support, and facilitate mission interview preparation and feedback as the final stage before offer
  • Partner through offer, negotiation, and close with a high-touch approach

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Current IT, shared services and/or executive recruitment experience required. Preferred experience with Workday Recruit or comparable ATS, with the ability to rapidly adapt to new recruiting technologies.
Preferred Education: Associate/bachelor's degree
