Overview: The Utility Construction Project Manager is responsible for supporting project management efforts by maintaining customer relationships, supporting RFP management, coordinating contracts, along with progress tracking through completion and invoicing. This role supports all customer and project needs, outside the actual execution of the work, which falls under the Regional operations groups.

Responsibilities:

โ€ข Client & Stakeholder Relations: Act as a primary contact for key client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction. Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss proposals, progress, and address inquiries regarding costs and timelines.

โ€ข Project Controls & Financial Management: Utilize systems for tracking progress, managing project reporting, and compiling all project billings. Assume responsibility for project financials across the portfolio, including pricing, costs, margins, and budget creation.

โ€ข Contract Management & Compliance: Ensure contract compliance. Review and manage all project proposals, permits, legal documents, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance ahead of project execution.

โ€ข Coordination & Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders (Estimating, Regional Operations, Administration and Finance) to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications:

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

โ€ข Minimum of 2 years of experience.

โ€ข Proven success in managing client relationships in the construction industry is essential.

โ€ข Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

โ€ข Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

โ€ข Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

โ€ข Excellent leadership and communication abilities.

โ€ข Proficiency in construction management software (MS Excel, Bluebeam, HCSS, Procore, or similar).

โ€ข Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

โ€ข Professional certifications such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).

Pre-Screen:

โ€ข Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check

Travel Requirements:

โ€ข Travel up to 50% for project and customer visits

License and Certification:

โ€ข Valid Driverโ€™s License required

โ€ข CAPM or PMP certification is not required but willingness to pursue certification is encouraged

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:

โ€ข Occasional site visits in outdoor settings; walking on uneven terrain and exposure to variable weather

โ€ข Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols
