Position Overview

The User Experience Design Operations team is seeking a Senior UX Program Manager to enhance Engineering UX Design Operations by leading initiatives that improve design throughput, consistency, quality, and transparency. Reporting to the Manager of Program Management, this individual will be responsible for implementing planning, tracking, and reporting mechanisms, and will collaborate with design teams to adopt design processes and guidelines and strengthen connections across product teams. This role involves working with Design, Research, Product Management, Platform, and Engineering teams to establish scalable approaches that amplify design efforts.

Role Contributions & Team Context

  • Operate with a high degree of independence and ownership in areas where program strategy is still being defined.
  • Apply knowledge and experience in product, software, and user experience design to inform decision-making.
  • Establish and manage design-related processes, resources, and programs that yield measurable results.

Typical Day or Week in the Role

  • Evolve, improve, and simplify processes that scale across multiple teams and methodologies.
  • Drive clarity and alignment among partners and stakeholders.
  • Promote operational excellence, process improvement, and team enablement across UX engineering and design functions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and optimize work practices that align to an enterprise structure.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 8+ years of successful experience as a UX Producer, Program/Project Manager, or Engineering Program/Project Manager, leading large projects through the full product development life cycle within a large, cross-functional team.

Top Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Figma, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Aha!
  • Experience with resource planning and program delivery.
  • Experience working with project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, and establishing communication plans.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (Agile to Waterfall).
  • Experience managing product development portfolios, working cross-collaboratively with Product, Engineering, Platform, UX Design, and Research.
  • Strong ability to effectively manage cross-functional projects, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
  • Experience escalating issues and anticipating and making hard trade-offs between business and customer needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines, pivoting as necessary in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive through to delivery.
