The Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Operations to partner closely with the Sales Engineering organization and help scale operational excellence across technical pre-sales.
This role is responsible for driving operational rigor, process improvement, technical program coordination, systems alignment, reporting, and cross-functional execution for the Sales Engineering organization. The ideal candidate understands how enterprise infrastructure technical sales organizations operate and can bridge technical teams with business operations, sales, product, services, and GTM leadership.
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring a strong operational mindset, technical aptitude, and the ability to create scalable processes in a fast-moving AI infrastructure environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with Sales Engineering leadership to improve forecasting visibility, POC management, resource planning, technical readiness, field coordination, executive reporting, and operational scalability.
What You'll Do
Drive Sales Engineering Operational Excellence
  • Build and improve operational processes that support the Sales Engineering organization globally
  • Help scale technical pre-sales operations across complex enterprise and AI infrastructure sales motions
  • Create operational rigor around POCs, evaluations, demos, technical validation workflows, and customer readiness activities
  • Improve visibility into Sales Engineering engagement, resource allocation, workload, and execution priorities

Technical Program & Process Management
  • Coordinate cross-functional technical initiatives involving Sales Engineering, Product, Engineering, GSS, Sales, and RevOps
  • Build scalable workflows for technical evaluations, customer onboarding support, and solution readiness processes
  • Improve handoff and coordination between pre-sales, implementation, and support organizations
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and drive process improvements

Reporting, Analytics & Executive Visibility
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and reporting frameworks for Sales Engineering leadership
  • Improve visibility into POC activity, technical win rates, utilization, engagement coverage, and operational performance
  • Support forecasting processes, QBRs, operational reviews, and executive reporting
  • Translate technical operational data into actionable business insights

Systems & Operational Infrastructure
  • Partner with GTM Applications, RevOps, and technical teams to improve systems and workflows
  • Improve Salesforce operational hygiene and technical engagement tracking
  • Help operationalize scalable tooling, automation, and AI-enabled workflows
  • Support data quality, process governance, and operational consistency across the SE organization

Resource Planning & Organizational Scale
  • Support Sales Engineering leadership with capacity planning, territory alignment, and operational prioritization
  • Improve planning processes for technical coverage, strategic accounts, and customer engagement models
  • Help scale operational support structures as the organization grows globally

Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, GSS, Engineering, Marketing, and RevOps teams
  • Help align technical pre-sales execution with business priorities and customer requirements
  • Support operational coordination for strategic customer opportunities and complex enterprise engagements

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Technical Operations, Sales Operations, Sales Engineering Operations, Program Management, or related operational roles
  • Experience supporting Sales Engineering, technical pre-sales, or enterprise infrastructure organizations
  • Strong understanding of enterprise hardware, storage, AI infrastructure, cloud, or data center environments
  • Proven ability to create scalable operational processes and drive cross-functional execution
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience building dashboards, operational reporting, and KPI frameworks
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Salesforce and operational reporting environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in AI infrastructure, HPC, enterprise storage, GPU infrastructure, or cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with POC management, technical validation workflows, and enterprise solution design processes
  • Experience supporting global technical organizations
  • Exposure to automation, AI-enabled workflows, and operational tooling modernization
  • Experience operating in high-growth or transformation-stage technology companies
