Job description

Position Summary

Position Summary

The SAP Sales and Customer Service Business Analyst defines, configures, tests, trains and supports business-related information technology requirements and systems.  The position is responsible for analyzing business processes, configuring SAP solutions, and supporting SAP Sales and Customer Service modules. This role will collaborate with stakeholders to optimize sales operations, improve customer service functions, and drive system enhancements. 

Scope/Supervision and Interaction

This position Does Not Have Direct Reports 
Collaborates with business and development leadership as well as other Technical Analysts, Senior Technical Analysts, and end users. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP Sales/Customer Service functional specifications. 

  • Configure and customize SAP Sales/Customer Service modules to support sales order processing, pricing, billing, and customer service workflows. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, sales, and customer service, to optimize business processes. 

  • Provide end-user training and support for SAP Sales/Customer Service functionalities. 

  • Identify and resolve system issues, troubleshoot errors, and implement enhancements. 

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business process and procedures to effectively identify and implement IT solutions.

  • Actively engage key business partners to identify/validate opportunities, ensure alignment with business strategies and define functional area roadmap.

  • Work with Division IT, Group IT, COE and other Corporate IT teams (DevOps, enterprise architecture, middleware, security, etc.) to translate business requirements into functional/technical specs.

  • Work with technical teams to design and implement SAP integrations with other enterprise applications (e.g., CRM, e-commerce, logistics). 

  • Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure smooth deployment of SAP updates. 

  • Stay updated with SAP best practices and emerging trends to drive process improvements. 

  • Create, reviews and delivers end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, training materials) and training for accuracy.

  • Follow and help improve all IT standards and processes (Change Management, Segregation of Duties, Documentation Standards, etc.).

  • Provide day to day support for SAP and integrated business systems.
  • Provides analytical advice and direction for application and technology that impacts business operations; Understands how applications and technologies impact the business 

  • Analyze and apply Enterprise data to make recommendations / modifications to streamline & simplify processes while reducing operating costs 

  • Develops and deploys appropriate Digital and Information Technology solutions 

  • Establishes and develops procedures for proper utilization of Digital and IT technology 

  • Develops and delivers training to support process changes and new technology introductions 

  • Overnight travel to remote locations to assist in the implementation of technical solutions as needed 

  • Provide after-hour technical support as needed 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related area (or international equivalent) 

  • 2+ years related IT experience   

  • Strong understanding of sales order processing, pricing, billing, returns, and customer service operations. 

  • Experience with SAP Sales/Customer Service configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. 

  • Knowledge of SAP integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, logistics, finance). 

  • SAP S/4HANA experience is a plus. 

  • Experience with EDI, IDocs, and other SAP data exchange technologies. 

  • Knowledge of business process automation and digital transformation strategies. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools    

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills     

  • Demonstrated leadership aptitude, learning agility, and adaptability    

  • Strong interpersonal skills, relates well with all levels of the organization   

  • Ability to establish own priorities and adapt to changing priorities   

  • Demonstrates ability to manage projects
