Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for clients, utilizing accepted practice standards and clinic protocols to inform treatment planning.
  • Deliver a range of telehealth services, including individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions, tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
  • Manage cases through thorough triaging, referrals, and coordination of care with other medical and social service providers, ensuring seamless communication with all involved parties.
  • Engage in regular consultation with other departmental providers to refine treatment plans and adjust interventions based on ongoing evaluation and feedback.
  • Document all interactions and treatment plans in an electronic medical record system accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, as well as contribute to the development of new protocols and procedures to enhance service delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the overall effectiveness of the clinic.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Telehealth Counselor, you will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. Your focus will be on developing therapeutic alliances with clients to support them in navigating life’s difficulties—whether emotional, psychological, or social. You will provide culturally responsive care and adapt your therapeutic approaches to fit the varied backgrounds and circumstances of your patients.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
  • An active and unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Strong skills in diagnosis and treatment planning for both child and adult mental health patients; proficient in individual, couple, family, and group therapy modalities.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and telehealth platforms to deliver care efficiently.
  • A deep understanding of current policies, regulations, and procedures affecting mental health care delivery, allowing you to effectively navigate changes that may impact patients.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of experience in a clinical setting, providing mental health services through telehealth.
  • Experience working with a varied client population, including individuals from diverse backgrounds and with different presentations.
  • A background in community mental health or crisis intervention is a plus.
