• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are culturally sensitive, allowing for personalized treatment planning.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address diverse mental health issues, customizing interventions to align with each client's cultural and personal backgrounds.
• Deliver individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions focused on improving mental wellness, resilience, and coping strategies.
• Actively collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care, attending case conferences, and sharing insights to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing mental health emergencies, employing decisive, compassionate responses.
• Educate patients and families on mental health issues, therapy modalities, and available community resources to empower informed decision-making.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Engage in continual professional development through training sessions and workshops aimed at enhancing cultural competency and therapeutic skills.

In this role, you will work with a wide range of clients, primarily focusing on individuals from underrepresented communities. Familiarity with the distinct challenges faced by ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ clients, and immigrants is essential. This position encourages you to employ a culturally competent approach, actively listening to clients' stories and tailoring your therapeutic methods to ensure they resonate with their lived experiences.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license in Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment approaches, bolstered by cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy within a framework that respects diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to manage crises successfully, maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients of various cultural and demographic backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficiency in using basic computer applications.

• Experience in a multicultural therapy setting, specifically working with clients from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
• Engagement in community outreach or educational programs that promote mental health awareness among marginalized populations.
