• Conduct remote counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families, utilizing secure telehealth platforms for effective communication.
• Perform comprehensive assessments to thoroughly understand each client's mental health needs, creating personalized treatment plans that align with their objectives.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions, to address a range of emotional and psychological issues.
• Provide immediate support in crisis situations, implementing techniques to ensure client safety and stabilize acute symptoms.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring thorough progress notes and treatment documentation.
• Educate clients on mental health topics, offering coping strategies and resources that empower them to take charge of their mental health journeys.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals and community resources to provide holistic and integrated care for clients.
• Stay current with developments in mental health practices and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Restorative Touch, you will work with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Your role will involve not only addressing immediate mental health concerns but also empowering clients to develop resilience and long-term coping mechanisms.

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.
• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in providing remote counseling, with an understanding of telehealth technologies and best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with an ability to create a supportive and trusting therapeutic environment.
• Strong commitment to ethical practices in mental health counseling and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a remote team.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours to accommodate client needs.

• Experience with evidence-based therapy modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
• Prior experience in a community health clinic or similar setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 – $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus.
