Advanced Medical Care Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team in Athens, Georgia. This full-time position is ideal for a motivated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) committed to supporting individuals and families in their journey towards recovery from substance use disorders. You will work closely with a cross-functional team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, and peer support specialists to deliver the highest quality of care.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify treatment needs and form collaborative goals with patients undergoing recovery from substance use disorders.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
• Lead individual therapy sessions to facilitate personal growth, coping strategies, and emotional regulation.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for shared learning and encouragement among individuals.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure a holistic, well-integrated treatment approach.
• Provide crisis intervention and develop responsive strategies during acute substance-related episodes.
• Deliver education to patients and their families on addiction recovery resources, coping mechanisms, and aftercare options.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance professional development and patient outcomes.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of substance use disorder treatment.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy within an addiction treatment context.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience while maintaining professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting while managing flexible schedules and workflows.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

• A minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling or substance use disorder treatment.
• Experience in a community health or clinic setting is highly advantageous.
• Prior experience with crisis management and intervention strategies will be beneficial.

We offer a competitive salary range from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
