• Deliver both individual and group counseling sessions via telehealth platforms, employing techniques tailored to meet the specific needs of students.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution by recognizing signs of distress, developing appropriate action plans, and implementing supportive strategies.
• Engage collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff to coordinate care and develop integrated approaches to student well-being.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation reflecting each student’s progress and treatment plans, adhering to ethical standards and compliance regulations.
• Design and promote safe, inclusive environments through trauma-informed care practices, fostering trust and encouraging open communication.
• Stay updated with the latest methodologies and best practices in mental health counseling to continuously improve service delivery.

This role is primarily focused on providing mental health support to school-aged children and adolescents. You will address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and social difficulties, all while ensuring that care is tailored to each student’s individual experiences and cultural backgrounds. The counselor's contribution is crucial in empowering students to articulate their feelings, develop healthy coping strategies, and enhance their overall mental health.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or its equivalent in California is mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster trusting relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Demonstrable ability to work effectively in a remote setting, utilizing technology to engage clients and maintain professional standards.
• A deep understanding of confidentiality and ethical practice in mental health counseling.

• At least two years of clinical experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health or educational setting.
