Job description

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst for a 100% remote position supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. This role will translate complex business needs into actionable strategies, requirements, and governance solutions while supporting product planning, backlog management, and project execution. The Business Analyst will work closely with clients, business leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts, architects, and development teams.

The position operates in a collaborative Agile environment and requires frequent client interaction, meeting facilitation, requirements development, process mapping, and coordination across business and technical teams.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex and ambiguous client problems into clear, actionable strategies, requirements, and solutions.
  • Develop epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to communicate functional requirements to clients and development teams.
  • Collaborate with Business Line leads to develop project plans, product strategies, and roadmaps based on business needs and pain points.
  • Maintain the program backlog by engaging clients, stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business architects to identify and prioritize requirements.
  • Facilitate client meetings using design thinking and Agile methodologies to co-create and validate governance and management solutions.
  • Prepare project status reports, support workgroup facilitation, and communicate insights and recommendations to clients and internal leadership using effective storytelling and visualization techniques.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1-5 years of experience in requirements analysis, business analysis, or business intelligence analysis.
  • Strong experience with project management and Agile tools, including Microsoft Project and Jira.
  • Familiarity with process mapping, requirements development, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog management.
  • Familiarity with data management and organizational governance principles, along with extensive experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to track timelines, milestones, requests, and product specifications.
  • Ability to quickly adapt, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced client-facing environment.

Additional Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with joint Department of Defense (DoD)-VA governance, policies, and healthcare environments.
  • Experience supporting federal government programs, healthcare modernization initiatives, or complex cross-functional stakeholder environments.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government clearance.
