Work Environment

This role is structured to be fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from home while maintaining flexible hours that align with client needs. Our workweek runs from Monday to Friday, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced lifestyle for our counselors. Our telehealth approach allows us to reach clients where they are most comfortable, making mental health support accessible to all, regardless of mobility challenges or geographical limitations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly residents, identifying unique emotional and psychological needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that specifically address issues such as grief, loss, and life transitions impacting older adults.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to craft personalized and effective geriatric care plans.
• Educate families and caregivers on effective strategies to enhance emotional support and mental well-being for their elderly loved ones.
• Implement cognitive stimulation programs and therapeutic interventions designed to maintain mental acuity and promote positive mental health.
• Provide continuous support and counseling regarding end-of-life issues, ensuring compassionate care for residents and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role emphasizes service to seniors facing diverse mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, dementia, and adjustment disorders. The ideal counselor will not only provide clinical support but also understand the nuances of aging and the unique stressors associated with this stage of life. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits
