Role: ServiceNow CMDB Technical Architect

Location: Remote

Job Description

  • Accountable for end-to-end CMDB Enterprise Architecture, design, and implementation on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Lead CMDB design and configuration, including CI class modeling & extensions, IRE rules, CI lifecycle management, and data governance
  • Architect and govern CMDB data ingestion and integrations from multiple sources (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Tanium, CrowdStrike, Cloud platforms, third-party discovery tools).
  • Define and enforce CMDB data standards, including- CI naming conventions
  • Mandatory attributes
  • Relationship modeling
  • Data ownership and stewardship etc.
  • Own the CMDB technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with ITIL and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Ensure strong alignment of CMDB with:- ITSM (Incident, Change, Problem, Request)
  • ITOM (Discovery)
  • ITAM/SAM use cases

Qualifications

    • 10+ years of ServiceNow experience with strong focus on CMDB / ITOM Architect roles.
    • Strong understanding of & Hands-on experience with- ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM
    • ServiceNow Discovery & Service Mapping
    • Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
    • ITOM, ITSM, ITAM/SAM integrations
    • Experience defining and managing CMDB Health KPIs and dashboards.
