• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations for elderly patients, taking into account their specific cognitive, emotional, and social needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the individual circumstances of each patient, including any comorbid conditions and situational factors.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and family therapy, to address a range of geriatric psychiatric disorders and improve patient outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, participating in case consultations to ensure cohesive patient management and support.
• Provide crisis intervention during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring a swift and effective response tailored to elderly patients.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment modalities, and relevant community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
• Participate actively in team meetings, contributing to ongoing professional development and remaining apprised of advancements in geriatric mental health practices.

Our primary focus is on the geriatric population, dealing with a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment challenges due to life changes. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in geriatric mental health disorders and treatment modalities is essential.
• Proven experience providing individual and family therapy to older adults.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to establish a trusting rapport with elderly patients and their caregivers.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology essential for remote service delivery.
• Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team focused on geriatric care.
