Job description

Rigid Tactical is seeking experienced Electronic Warfare (EW) Ground Operators, Computer Network Technicians/Analysts, and Tactical SIGINT Analysts to support dynamic, multi-domain Special Operations Forces (SOF) exercises. This role requires aminimum of 10 years of documented SOF operational experience, with at least 4 years of recent active field experience.
Candidates must possess deep operational expertise in tactically deployed environments, leveraging field-ready systems, tactical radio frequency (RF) hardware, and specialized software to execute real-time spectrum monitoring, cyber-tactical integration, IFF/transponder signal exploitation, and time-sensitive target identification.
This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor agreement featuring a competitive daily rate, with per diem, lodging, and travel fully covered.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance required.
  • 10+ years total documented support to Special Operations Forces (SOF) within your primary skillset (EW, SIGINT, or Tactical Network Operations).
  • 4+ years of recent operational or exercise support experience (within the last 4-5 years).
  • Operational proficiency in IFF Modes 1, 2, 3, and 5 (interrogation, signal identification, and RF analysis).
  • Documented experience working with Modes 0 and 6.
  • Certifications SEC+, CEH, Network+, or military specialty equivalents (e.g., Army 17E/35S/35N, Navy CWT/CTT, Air Force 1N2/1B4, USMC 2621/2631
Duties / Responsibilities
1. EW Ground Operator
  • Deploy, configure, and operate tactical Electronic Warfare systems in forward/field environments to maintain electromagnetic spectrum dominance.
  • Execute Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) TTPs against target emitters and air/ground radar platforms during live SOF training scenarios.
  • Interrogate, exploit, and analyze IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) / SSR waveforms, requiring hands-on operational proficiency in Modes 1, 2, 3, and 5, as well as working experience with Modes 0 and 6.
  • Tactical Toolsets: Man-portable and vehicle-mounted EW suites, Direction-Finding (DF) antenna arrays, tactical RF spectrum analyzers, IFF interrogators/test sets, signal jammers/disrupters, and software-defined radios (SDRs).
2. Computer Network Technician / Analyst
  • Deploy and support forward tactical networks, tactical mesh architectures, and cyber-exploitation nodes in GNSS-denied or degraded environments.
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot field communications, tactical IP routing, and wireless payload links during exercise maneuvers.
  • Tactical Toolsets: Wireshark, Tshark, Apple, android, VPN, Kismet, Aircrack-ng, Metasploit, tactical network taps/analyzers, Linux enterprise/command-line toolsets, SDR-based network inspection tools, and tactical SATCOM/MANET hardware.
3. Tactical SIGINT Analyst
  • Conduct real-time collection, processing, identification, and direction finding of target emitters and transponder signals to support tactical decision-making and target acquisition.
  • Process and analyze RF spectrum data with specific expertise in IFF Modes 1, 2, 3, and 5 and operational familiarity with legacy/specialized Modes 0 and 6.
  • Translate raw EMS/RF intercept data into actionable intelligence and real-time situational awareness for exercise leadership.
  • Tactical Toolsets: Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) / WinTAK, Force Tracker systems, Wolfhound, Tactical SIGINT Payload (TSP) software, handheld direction-finding receivers, and tactical signal characterization suites.
  • Proficient in operating and interfacing tactical collection suites with NSA network infrastructure, secure intelligence pipelines, and real-time dissemination platforms.
