Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to ensure the stable operation of the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) computer software systems and network connections.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links.
  • Analyze and resolve end-user software program and connectivity issues.
  • Provides end-user training.
  • Provides recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision.
  • Will be required to provide both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location.
  • Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications.
  • Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load-balancing applications, and ensures fault tolerance.
  • Performs vulnerability management.
  • This opportunity is Fully Remote - No On-site Requirement.
Minimum Experience:
  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, six of which are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, and four of which are concentrated, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.
  • Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and resolving issues with applications using ColdFusion (2023/2025) and/or .NET 4.8 frameworks across both Linux and Windows server environments
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations, working with, and presenting to senior management
  • Experience using modern integrated development environments (IDEs), specifically Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, for writing, testing, and debugging source code.
  • Experience utilizing GitHub for version control, repository management, branch management, and collaborative code reviews.
  • Experience writing clean, high-performance, hard-coded software solutions
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience working as a systems administrator with expertise in implementing and/or administering Corporate Performance Management Platform.
Security/Certification Requirements:
  • If job duty assignment requires "Privileged" access, must possess the following: Sensitivity Level: IT-II - Sensitive
  • Clearance: Secret IA Level: IAT II
  • 8570.01-M/8140 Baseline8140Baseline Certification to include application, data, database, utility, or software tools administration which require "Privileged Access"
