Job description

We are hiring a Senior Application Support Administrator on the IT Service Management (ITSM) Tools Team at BCBST!
In this role, you will help drive the continued expansion and adoption of the ServiceNow platform across the organization. Your primary focus will be designing, developing, and supporting integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems to improve efficiency, automate manual processes, and deliver measurable cost savings. You will partner with teams across BCBST to transform legacy workflows, including spreadsheet-based processes, into scalable ServiceNow solutions that provide streamlined request intake, intelligent routing, automation, and an improved end-user experience. You'll collaborate with peers to scope new integration opportunities, enhance existing solutions, and ensure the stability and reliability of our ServiceNow platform as its usage continues to grow across the enterprise.
To be successful in this role, in addition to the core job requirements, you'll bring strong technical expertise in ServiceNow administration, integration development, and automation. You should have experience creating custom workflows using Flow Designer, developing and supporting web services and APIs, and leveraging scripting to build scalable solutions. Strong knowledge of SQL, PowerShell, and JavaScript is essential. You will be a strong candidate for this role if you have experience with MoveWorks, exposure to AI capabilities within ServiceNow, and a passion for identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and platform consolidation.
Note:
  • This is a remote, work-from-home position, but the final round of interviews will take place on-site in our Chattanooga, TN office.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation is required, with coverage lasting for 1 week, occurring approximately every 9 weeks.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Offers consultation and provides senior leadership in support of all major applications and related projects.
  • Understands all integration points with existing systems and related infrastructure to provide guidance and direction with applications configuration and implementations.
  • Provides top level support for all problem resolution and troubleshooting activities.
  • Provides direction and design for the setup, configuration, integration and implementation of major applications into the environment.
  • Must be willing to adjust schedule to perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.

Job Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field, or commensurate experience in a professional environment, required.

Experience
  • 5 years - Experience in Information Technology required
  • 3 years - Systems Administration or Programming experience required.
  • 1 year - Knowledge of computer systems operations for Windows/AIX/Mainframe environments.

Skills/Certifications
  • Expert knowledge of application support technologies and related documentation required.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas, problem/solution/business value descriptions that can be understood by a broad audience.
