Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Okta Systems Administrator to ensure the stable, secure, and optimized operation of enterprise Okta environments. This role is responsible for planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all components within the Okta footprint, including network software, integrations, and communication links.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Okta administration for large enterprises, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead other administrators while driving automation, performance improvements, and best‑practice identity management.

Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure the stable and secure operation of enterprise Okta environments, including configuration, maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management.
    • Plan, develop, install, configure, and support all network software and communication links associated with Okta.
    • Organize and direct the configuration and day-to-day operation of Okta environments.
    • Analyze and resolve end user software and connectivity issues related to Okta authentication, integrations, and identity workflows.
    • Conduct capacity and performance analysis; recommend system configuration changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
    • Improve system administrator efficiency through automation tools, scripts, and standardized procedures.
    • Develop system administrator documentation, conduct training, and perform skills assessments.
    • Provide end user training on Okta features, authentication workflows, and identity best practices.
    • Recommend technology direction and enhancements to align with organizational goals and identity strategy.
    • Provide local and remote maintenance support for operational systems within the Okta footprint, including upgrades and new installations.
    • Direct the work of other system administrators, ensuring effective system/resource optimization and user support.
    • Apply advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing, fault tolerance, and identity aware routing.
    • Configure and maintain Okta integrations with enterprise technologies such as:
      • Active Directory
      • Firewalls
      • APIs
      • Zero Trust endpoints
      • Cloud and on prem applications

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience supporting Okta environments with progressively increasing responsibility in the IT field.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and maintaining Okta for large enterprises, including configuring integrations with Active Directory, firewalls, APIs, Zero Trust tools, and other enterprise systems.
  • Relevant Okta certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (e.g., Okta Certified Administrator, Okta Certified Consultant).
