We are partnering with a well-regarded and growing nonprofit organization in the Washington, DC area to place a Recruiting Coordinator for a contract engagement. This team is collaborative and mission-driven, with a strong commitment to building effective HR and talent acquisition functions that advance organizational goals.

Job Description:

A respected DC-area nonprofit is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to provide hands-on support to its HR and talent acquisition team. This individual will play a central role in keeping recruitment operations running smoothly โ€” managing candidate communications, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring managers across administrative and programmatic roles. The right candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a busy, people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support full-cycle recruiting for administrative and programmatic positions, including resume review, candidate screening, and hiring manager coordination
  • Draft and post job listings across the HRIS and external job boards; develop role-specific interview guides and screening questions
  • Coordinate interview scheduling across candidates, hiring managers, and panel members, ensuring a smooth and timely process
  • Collect and organize post-interview feedback through surveys and evaluation forms, and distribute results to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist HR staff and hiring managers with the logistics of extending employment offers
  • Monitor dedicated recruiting inboxes, respond to candidate inquiries, and keep applicants informed on their status and next steps
  • If the assignment extends into summer, assist with internship recruitment efforts and maintain relationships with university career center partners

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination or talent sourcing, ideally in support of a high-volume recruitment team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with working knowledge of HRIS and ATS platforms
  • Strong multitasking skills with sharp attention to detail, clear communication, and a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field

This is a hybrid contract role based in Washington, DC, with an expected duration of approximately 2 months. The schedule includes 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week.
