What are remote summer animation internships?

Remote summer animation internships are temporary positions offered by animation studios or related companies that allow students or aspiring animators to work from home during the summer. These internships typically involve tasks such as creating animations, assisting with storyboarding, or supporting animation projects, all via digital tools and virtual collaboration. They provide valuable industry experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities while allowing interns the flexibility to work from any location. Most remote internships require a reliable internet connection, proficiency in animation software, and strong communication skills.

What types of projects and collaboration can I expect as a remote summer animation intern?

As a remote summer animation intern, you can expect to work on a variety of projects, such as assisting with storyboarding, creating character designs, or helping with animation sequences. Collaboration typically takes place through virtual meetings, shared digital workspaces, and feedback sessions with mentors or team members. You'll likely interact with animators, designers, writers, and project managers, gaining a well-rounded experience of the animation production process. Regular check-ins and team reviews help support your growth and integration, even in a remote setting.
