Job description

Position Overview

Power Your Future with Qualus in our Project Management Organization as a Senior Estimator supporting Transmission and Distribution projects.

Responsibilities
  • Extensive electrical utility experience (overhead transmission, substation, and/or foundations/civil).
  • Estimate projects in accordance with policies and procedures with oversight while learning estimating practices and processes.
  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
  • Attend customer pre-bid meetings.
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
  • Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates
  • Coordinate with project management
  • Prepare bills of material and other information for use by purchasing

  • Determine constructability requirements via field walk-downs with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
  • 7+ years of tangible experience in the high voltage estimating space
  • This position is primarily a remote role with travel to South Carolina 1-2 weeks a month to start and become more of an as needed basis and projects progress.
