As a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ substance abuse history and mental health status.
• Creating personalized treatment plans that address both addiction challenges and any underlying mental health issues that clients may face.
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's needs.
• Collaborating with a treatment team, ensuring seamless communication and an integrated approach to client care.
• Educating and encouraging family involvement in clients’ recovery processes to strengthen support systems.
• Maintaining client records accurately in compliance with health regulations and organizational standards.
• Engaging in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with best practices in addiction counseling.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A valid independent license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, LSCSW, or PsyD.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Specialized training or robust experience in addiction counseling, understanding the nuances of substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in implementing evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• A strong set of therapeutic and counseling skills, along with the ability to inspire and motivate clients towards their recovery goals.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

While not mandatory, we highly value candidates who have:

• Experience working within a remote clinical setting.
• A demonstrated history of successful client outcomes in substance use treatment.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies.
